UPDATE TIME!

Gilead Media update time! Party!

There’s been a lot going on here prepping new releases, sending stuff off to be cut, sending artwork to pressing plants. I don’t know why I always release tons of albums at the beginning of the year. Makes the end of the year total madness for me. But there is some awesome stuff going on the end of this year. Tons of awesome press for THOU as the year-end lists begin to pour in. I also just posted a batch of new goodies in the Gilead Media online store. Check it all out…

NEW RECORDS IN THE STORE!

Batillus/Hallowed Butchery Split LP – $13.00

Released by Vendetta records. Batillus features members of A Storm Of Light and deliver some great atmospheric doom. Hallowed Butchery is a one-man prog/doom project. Great stuff on both sides of this split with some good artwork and presentation. Mastered by James Plotkin. Listen/Buy: Gilead online store

Call Me Lightning “When I Am Gone My Blood Will Be Free” LP+Digital Download – $12.50

Released by Dusty Medical Records. Digital download code included! This is easily one of my top 5 records of 2010! I don’t even know how to clasify these guys… anthemic high-energy indie rock? Almost bordering on very driving rhythmic punk, at times. Unbelievable live show, criminally under-rated band. Please listen and check out this record NOW! You won’t regreat it. The songs will be stuck in your head and have you singing along immediately. Listen/Buy: Gilead online store

Frodus “Soundlab 1” 7″+Digital Download – $5.00

Frodus return with the first in a, hopefully, ongoing SOUNDLAB series. This features two brand new songs with Liam from The Dillinger Escape Plan on bass. Fans of FCI-era Frodus need this, now. Listen/Buy: Gilead online store

Protestant “Judgements” LP – $11.00

Released by Halo Of Flies. Ferocious, pissed off hardcore from Milwaukee, WI. I couldn’t be more smitten with this band, just incredible stuff. From the label: 9 songs of fast, bitter midwestern hardcore punk clocking in under 26 minutes. After a slew of releases over the last 4+ years, this is Protestant throwing down the gauntlet and cutting the shit. 4 color reverse board covers, and a 12×18 poster/lyric sheet. Listen/Buy: Gilead online store

Thou “Summit” LP – $12.50

Released by Southern Lord. Man, here it finally is. The LP everyone’s been waiting for this year. Super heavy-duty jacket, printed inner sleeve and a great gloss print on the jacket. I did the layout for this bad boy and I was even surprised at how well it turned out. Clear red vinyl! Buy: Gilead online store

Thou/Mohoram Atta “Degredation Of Human Life” Split LP Repress – Opaque Red/Orange Vinyl – $11.00

Released by Halo of Flies Records. One of my favorite records from 2009, Thou bring the sludging doom and Mohoram Atta deliver their own brand of very sloooow and heavy doom. An amazing split. Listen/Buy: Gilead online store

Thou “Baton Rouge, You Have Much To Answer For” Gatefold 12″ Repress – $13.00

Released by Robotic Empire. Repress restock, all on black vinyl! Listen/Buy: Gilead online store

GILEAD RELEASES NOW OUT OF PRINT!

There’s a number of things that are out of print at the moment. Some of them are getting repressed soonish.

Frodus “Conglomerate International” Gatefold 2LP – Potential repress in 2011 on color vinyl. I have to talk to Tooth and Nail first.

MewithoutYou “AB LIFE” LP – Opaque color vinyl 180 gram repress coming soon!

MewithoutYou “Catch For Us the Foxes” LP – Opaque color vinyl 180 gram repress coming soon!

Thou/Leech Split Gatefold LP – We want to do the last batch of 200ish of these as picture discs, but I’m not sure if it’s going to be worth it. There will be some sort of repress, at least.
