VHOL 2LP + HEXER LP AVAILABLE NOW. GILEAD FEST II LINEUP UPDATE. NEW DISTRO ITEMS/SHIRTS. NORHTLESS + INDRICOTHERE LP PHOTOS. NEW GILEAD HQ.

So stoked October is nearly here. This is easily my favorite time of the year. I’m hoping I’ll be able to squeeze in a trip to northern Wisconsin over the next couple weeks to check out the turning colors of the trees. Hoodie weather is the best. I guess Scott and I better print up some Gilead logo hoodies soon as well. Plenty of exciting stuff in the update this week. Vhol and Hexer vinyl is ready to order, both will include patches and buttons if you order early enough. There is also a Vhol shirt available alongside the vinyl. Those are limited, so don’t wait. Lots more good news, just get to it!

V. GILEAD MEDIA’S NEW HQ

September 2013 marks a new chapter for Gilead Media. It’s been just over eight years since I founded this label, and for the first time I’ve moved Gilead HQ entirely out of my home and into a studio space. The ability to draw a clear line between my work space and my home space has been a long-term goal, and I’m terribly happy that it’s one I can call achieved. No longer a basement record label. That feels strange.

Along with this new space comes a bit of change in the way Gilead Media will operate moving forward. I will personally be more hands-off when it comes to the packing and dispatching of direct mail order. My close friend Dale, a long-time Gilead volunteer whom you would recognize from my merch table at Gilead Fest 2012, will be handling mail order moving forward. I always loved packing orders myself, but as the label continues to grow, the amount of time required to pack orders becomes greater and greater. It has reached a point where the time I spend packing orders takes away from the other important responsibilities I have as a record label. Dale is a fan of the bands Gilead works with, and I have great confidence he will take the same care in the fulfillment of your orders that I always have. The best part about this is orders placed will be dispatched quicker, resulting in less wait time for those who order.

This is quite an exciting time for Gilead Media. Thanks to you all for helping me, well… I guess it’s US now, helping us get to this point. I can’t wait to see what the next few years will bring.

That’s all for this week. Until next time, my friends.
